Meaning of the Lotus Flower

The lotus flower symbolises purity and divine birth. The different colour lotus flowers have specific meanings: for example, the red lotus signifies the qualities of the heart while the purple lotus is the mystic lotus.

The Lotus flower represents enlightenment(the path to take) of a human.

Buddhists believe that a lotus flower represents life as so. It starts of at the bottom of a pond(our birth). Then it grows towards the light(our growth and fondness for love and attention). The flower sits on the surface (our life continuing) well held by its first roots, but able to move(the changing of many situations).
